Hubble Celebrates its 19th Anniversary with the "Fountain of Youth"

To commemorate its 19 years of operation, the Hubble Space Telescope has taken an image of the Arp 194 system of galaxies. This interacting galaxy group contains several galaxies along with a "cosmic fountain" of stars, gas, and dust that stretches over 100,000 light-years

The story of the Hubble Space Telescope and where we go ...

On August 11th, 2008 the Hubble Telescope hit the 100,000 orbit mark! Since its launch in April of 1990 the Hubble Space Telescope has been traveling at 5 miles per second with its on-board odometer racking up around 2.72 BILLION miles! That's about 5,700 trips to the moon and back!

Astronauti krenuli u riskantnu misiju popravka svemirskog teleskopa

The Best of Hubble - Slideshow of Magnificent Space Imagery

Some of the best and grandest images we could find of space and nebulas taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. Enjoy! Thank you to www.nasa.gov and www.hubblesite.org for the images. Music by Jai Larkan. From the album "Where To Land" released on Astronony Records. http://astronomyrecords.com
