Dear colleagues,
This issue of our newsletter will again be short and (hopefully) informative:
1. A meeting,dealing with a vital problem of observational astronomy – dark skies I sbeing prepapred on the islan of Lastovo in the Adriatic. It is supported by the Slovenian National Commission of UNESCO, and it is scheduled to take place September 6. – 10. 2010. For details consult the website www.darkskyparks.org .
2. Another meeting on the problem of dark sky,and how to keep it as dark as possible is being prepared in Hungary,September 3.-4. 2010. The title of this meeting is 10th European Symposium for the protection of the night sky,it is being prepared in Kaposvár, Hungary from 3 - 4 September 2010,and the web site is: www.astro-zselic.hu/symposium.html.
3. The Turkish Physical Society is organizing its 27 International Physics Conference in Istanbul, at the Faculty of Science of Istanbul University. The dates are September 14-17,2010.,and more data are given on the web site: http://tfd27.turkfizikdernegi.org/1/index.php?lang=en.
Finally, SREAC has been invited to take part at the Expert Meeting and Ministerial round table,organized by UNESCO and the Albanian Governement, > which will be held in Tirana, May 21-22. SREAC will be represented by the secretary, Dr. Renada Konstantinova-Antova, and the basic topic of the meeting is strengthening of scientific research and higher education in South Eastern Europe.
